Which tyre is best for turbo and punture resistance

In another forum we have discussed turbo trainers and the need for another wheel etc. And it was recommended that for newbies at least, this is not required. Just fit a hardy tyre on your bike and use it for turbo training and racing. This is the option i'm taking.

But which tyre is best for this use?

Your old bald tires. They're practically a slick anyway by then and it saves your good tires for racing.

I went for the Continental Gatorskins as suggested by MG on another thread. I was going to do down the 'spare turbo wheel with turbo tyre' route, but so far I've no complaints and no black marks on the turbo trainer where my previous tyres left a dirty great mark. Also the wife was none the wiser when I bought new tyres and switched them. Reckon I'd have had more grief trying to hide a spare wheel!

I have using Armadillos for about two months now and they have been fantastic.
