Dorset swimming!

Hi all,



I heading to Dorset for a week next week before I head out to Malta with swimtrek. Anyone have good suggestions of some open water or sea swimming? Anyone keen to join me whilst out there for a swim?

    Bournmouth area you should be fine, swim any further west at this time of year and its deadly

    people just dont realise how dangerous it is.





    However as i said bournmouth you should be fine, weymouth is also fine.

    I am staying in shaftesbury. Any ideas?

    I'd speak to someone at Zoom Tri club- they will prob know. Shaftesbury isn't really coastal (although not far from the coast if you're driving). I know Zoom do their swims Bournemouth way (as Jelly Legs mentioned it is a safer place to swim with less rips) but they haven't started up with those yet. They have a website so maybe you could email someone and ask advice. I'd offer to come along but I think I'd prob be slowing you down (a lot!)

    My brother who lives near West Bay said there were four dolphins swimming in the bay today so that would kill two birds with one stone; a sea swim and some company while you do it!
