Conehead, you weren't in the Chester Grosvenor Hotel at the weekend by any chance? There was a posh looking 4x4 outside waiting to be parked, with one of those or very similar in the back!

This is just willy waving. And I'm not getting my little entry level wee beestie out, you'll only laugh!

What would be more interesting would be to have a formula that cost per effort.

Maybe take your percentage of the winners formula and do something like ( percentage - 100 / cost of bike) - or something to come up with an effectiveness measure.

    Or something.

that is a seriously sexy looking bike. wow
  • jibby26jibby26 Posts: 261
Not sure I should be looking at a thread entitled "porn" at work but the lure of sexy, expensive bikes (that I have no hope of affording) is too much. I do like the stealth fighter esque lines to your Ordu Conhead.

Very nice. But I think you've overlooked a couple of things... No bell? And where does the bike pump fit on?

And whats her name then Conehead? She's gotta have a name right?

Oh OK, once more by popular demand. My 'new' Dolan basking in the sun below is more of a mid-ranger in terms of hardon-fibre. Can't quite match up to conehead's level.

Maybe we should also say how much our bikes cost, so other forum members will know what levels of pure carbon filth they can aspire to?

So.... bike cost £1000 - carbon frame (much fancier profiles than this pic would suggest), carbon forks, Mavic Aksium Race and Ultegra everything. Approx £200 of upgrade inc. Dura-Ace bar-end shifters, carbon Fast Forwards seat post and some s-bend extensions. Other bits (bar clamps, brake levers and some other stuff) I had lying around.

I only paid a fraction of that as I have lots of friends strategically placed in major brands......

I'm not proud. I don't have and cannot afford a full carbon TT bike. But I adore my lovely road bike, which now gets fitted with tri-bars for racing. Mine has the seatpost cut down to fit me, and a Selle Italia women's saddle fitted.

  • BlurredgirlBlurredgirl Posts: 292
    I'm so hard I don't need pedals.

I don't have a shot of my personal bike - this is just the shop's publicity shot. I fitted Cranks Brothers egg beaters.

Only for bikes. I'm getting married next week, and the (future)WAT is building up enough without me making comments like that!

wait until I get home to get a pic of my P2! hehe, nah its not that great.

To be honest I was at a TT on sat, there was so much bike porn on show I was embarrassed, even though I had borrowed a set of ultra expensive easton wheels to adorn my steed! I'd hazard a guess that at any one time there was 50k worth of bikes sitting outside the clubhouse!

In fairness to him, he probably has so many he needed to hire a wedding photographer to take the picture.

In a similar vein, i was thinking the other day about the 'bikers look'. Does anyone else do this when passing a fellow cyclist coming the other way:

Make eye contact and nod - kind of like how Mini Drivers flash their lights at each other.

And then almost crash when you ride past and try to get a good look at their steed as you ride.

    Is it just me?
