Hmmm... see what you mean, conehead. We need something like the yanks use i.e 'Clydesdale' when they mean 'Middle aged mid-life crisis fat git' or 'Amazon' when they actually mean 'Clydesdale's ex-wife'.
If 'Novice' doesn't cover it and maybe 'Fun' is too soft, what about a 'Finishers' wave? Or an 'Experience' wave.
rookie is cool but it sounds the same as novice in terms of who it woud attract. if you're looking to attract people who might be in their second or third tri season but woul dprefer to take it easier and do breaststroke etc and just get round then I quite liked 'finishers' that was mentioned above. it's not got the 'novice' ring to it....x
still thinking 'beginners' is a bit too 'newbie/novice' exclusive. theres loads of folk out there do tris year after year just for the finish and never really hold any expectation or desire to win or get a good age group position... do you reckon??
