Saddle question for the ladies!

Ladies,

What saddle would you recommend for a Giant Trinity 09? I've got the male model bike as that fits me better than the female one. Something me having a long back etc was amongst the reasons for the bike shop people to put me on a male model.

Bike rides great, everything feels fine...except for the saddle as that is also a male model one.

Since I am new to all this I am wondering what kind of saddle you would recommend for a newbie?

Thanks alot [:)]

I'm afraid there's no saddle that fits everyone. I started with a Specialized Body Geometry ladies' one and just never got on with it; now I've actually borrowed a man's saddle (also Specialized, actually) and am having a better time with that. It depends on what shape you are I think.

Presumably you've got some decent shorts? Also, bit of a road cycling thing, but I always use Assos creme and I find that that helps too.

The best saddle I have ever used is my current Selle Italia Ldy Sport, something like this:

There's no substitute for good 8-panel shorts, plus the right fit also ensures that some of your weight rests on your feet and hands.

    But this saddle is awesome.

Right - I MUST get on with my work!

I found mine; it looks like this:

    (remember it's a bloke's saddle.)

I hope you find one that suits you soon. Remember - it's not necessarily true that the more you spend, the better it will fit you. If only there were some sort of saddle swapping scheme online! I think that could really work....

.....and now, speaking of work......getting back to it....
