Long distance Tri must haves

Im doing my first long distance triathlon at the ironman uk 70.3 in june and have read a few things about tri specific saddles and such. What are the things i simply must have to increase comfort throughout the race?

Thanks in advance

    I think 70.3 is regarded as mid, not long sorry if I'm not correct.

    Plenty of lube, I can also vouch for the Assos cream but vasaline is also good for the job,

    A comfy saddle.

    A good quality pair of shorts. 2XU do a specific Long course tri short called Endurance but they seem dificult to gat hold of

    A comfy bike position.

    All of the above are personal to you so you need to get out and ride and see how you get on with the above and adapt accordingly.

    Isn't this just to give a differentiate between the half and full Ironman distances in non Ironman brand races (ie where they can't use the words "Ironman" "half-Ironman" or "70.3" which are trademarks)?

    70.3 = miles = Half Ironman distance.

    It is a Mdot trademark race.
