Next tri is Eton Sprint - looking forward to that!

The day was ace, went well and I was pretty well prepared so no embarrassing moments. Chuffed to get round and chuffed to get my times in... now im just about to pour over the results (and photos) of it all. ace!.

Sadly though, as I live in London and family live up north, after the tri I had to hit the road back to London and have just got it after 6hours of driving! time to chill out!

Gharv - Im in London but family live up north way and it was easy to put in a visit and do my first tri with family support too!

Nice one sfuller - I too have joined the Tri club ranks, with my first Tri at Mansfield (400m/14.5km/5k) its taken 38yrs to get to this point so I agree with some of the comments, I felt brilliant afterwards.

    Times were.

    Swim - 8.19

    T1 - 1.42 (oops)

    Bike - 28.30

    T2 - 0.50

    Run - 22.05

Really got the bug, and determined to be sub 1hr next year, got Rother Valley Tri next Open water swims here we come.
  • Well done sfuller. You must be really pleased to have completed your first one and to beat your target time. I hope you celebrated

I did my first Tri last year, Thame, and the sensation when crossing the finish line was great, especially with the family cheering me on.

I'm terrible at counting lengths in the swimming pool and the marshalls were only random checking people. My wife & kids left the pool area after I'd done 14 laps so they could see me in transition but apparently I took a long time to complete the last 2 laps - yes, I think I did at least 2 extra lengths as I was worried about doing too few!
