OK, I know its been done before but i can't find anything on hear more than a few days old.
Here's what i'll be taking to my first tri (you know, the one i'm doing tomorrow, had you heard?)
Swim
Goggles - one pair, darkened lenses - because they look cooler.
Swim Cap
Tri-suit - Black, tight and unflattering (hoping the goggles and swim cap will make me almost unrecognisable)
Bike
My bike - Now affectionately known as K.I.T.T. - its old and the turbo boost is now more like a fart.
Tri-bike shoes
Helmet
Glasses
Race belt
Face and Floor Towel
Talc
Elastic bands
Tube and CO2 in saddle bag
Run
Running shoes
Sun visor (yeah, right)
Toilet roll
Black magic marker
That's all i got for now. Is that it? Can you add your suggestions please?
Thanks
G

Even for a sprint!
Bottle of water or something on the bike.
Bananas, Carb. bar (for before/after).
Is the towel unique? i like to stick a bright towel down that will stand out so i can find my way! And go to wilkinsons and get a crate/box to keep everything in.
Race number, instructions etc..
donnt forget your quick legs too!
Some basic tools for minor repairs to bike before race.( JUST IN CASE)
Spare innertube ( on top of the spare you have in your bike pouch).
I take two of everything( except bike), just in case i would hate to be sent away because my try suit ripped as i bent down.
Toilet paper - as it will have all gone by the time you get there!
Spares.
AA membership card in case the bike breaks down [;)]
Vaseline for the heel cups of your trainers and cycle shoes, bodyglide for more intimate lubrication :-)
BTF license / photo ID
Still got a week to go before my event..[:)]
Que? If it's for marking your arm/leg they should do that for you prior to the stat.
Also, safety pins in case you need to pin an extra number to your belt. Couple of the races I've done insist you have numbers front & back.
Its not exhaustive but I use it and have found it pretty handy.

MrSquishy: I take a permanent marker to write my bike rack row number on the back of my hand.
aoneill69: neither. I do sprints; if I puncture it's game over so have never bothered with a kit. If I were to carry anything, CO2 for sure. It's what I have on training rides.
Since I have recently bought some new wheels, I have one luxury item to add to the kit list: spare front wheel for windy conditions.
