    haynes manual is pretty good...sure there are others, I hear the Park tool website is good, never used it myself.

    Book wise I've got "road bike maintenance" by Guy Andrews, lots of colour photos for the 3 big brands and it's spiral bound to folds flat when your working with it. Picked it up in Waterstones for £15.

    i was wondering if anyone knows a good bike mechanics book, i am haveing real issues with my gears they are changing up and down by themselves!! sometimes when i want to change gear it gets stuck in between two. i cant really aford to get my bike cheacked regularly as i am an impoverised student! living on my loan

    please help!

    That clip is mint! I've never really fancied mucking around with my gears for fear of totally knackering them, but I just might have a go (on my MTB) one day soon.

  • The youtube clip is brilliant. Bought my bike second hand last year and on some, if not most of the gears I have to double click the lever to get it to change. I am now going to have a look at the gears over the weekend and see if this resolves it.
