Get some de-greaser and spary it on the post AND inside the frame, leave on for 5 min then rinse out thoroughly (put hose down the frame...) and wipe off any residue, that should do it. That worked for me anyhoo....

Hi can anyone offer some advice (silly question)

I am having real problems with slippage on my seatpost, the bike is a Focus Izalco Tria (see bike porn) and I have tried lots of things to stop the seatpost from slipping when I ride out, it starts at the right height, but by the time I have done 20k it's a good 2 inches lower !! which puts real strain on the legs.

I have removed all grease from the post and inside the frame,

I have used longer bolts to attempt to tighten the rear clasp some more.

I have used duck tape wrapped around the post to give it a bit more bulk.

I am currently experementing with super glue !!

But all the above have still not fixed the problem, I have spoken to Wiggle and they inform me that there is not an aftermarket seatpost to replace the factory one.

Help, I race again on Sunday !!!
