Number belt under wetsuit?

The youtube transition vid on Hussler's "bike shoes video" thread refers to wearing your number belt under your wetsuit.



This really works does it? I can't see how the number wouldn't turn to mush?

    yes it works, the numbers are generally semi lamenated

    i havent tried it myself, but most of the numbers i have been given at races have been that kind of fabric/paper. they are pretty tough - sometimes its hard to get it on to your number belt.

    i dont reckon it would turn to mush, my worry would be ripping it off when i hamfistedly get out of my wetsuit....also it may only save a few seconds. i think it will take more than a number belt under my wetsuit to improve my time!![:D]

    may try it some time though...
