Hi all,
I am new to triathlons...never done one before.
Used to run for the army many yrs ago but now just general fitness
in the gym. Need to build my cycling muscles up again and running stmina.
Also need to work on my stroke as front crawl not my strongest.
Just waiting for work to start the cycle to work scheme on Aug 1st so I can
goto tricentral in manchester and get a bike
Hope I can pick up some good tips etc on here.
and I am impressed with the 220 magazine which I have been subscribing to
since april

As long as it gets me fitter and leaves me with a big sense of personal gain/satisfaction
Be warned though, your sense of personal gain will be offset by personal (financial) loss due to purchases of bodyglide, skinsuits and a plethora of other homoerotic sounding products - all of which are scientifically proven to make you go faster.
Sounds (at this early stage) like you all have my wicked sense of humour too.
I like good first impressions that make me laugh.
You thinking of doing a triathlon this year? No reason why not! And any questions you have ask away. I'm no expert and only have two sprints under my belt but there's some great advice to be had from this forum. No question too daft! Which reminds me, I have a daft question to ask...
