Miserable training session

CCSCCS Posts: 53
The title says it all....

Did my regular cycle commute to work this morning...sun shining...lovely day...
Then, my trusty Camelbak (only used constantly for the last 8 years) decided to spring a leak - cue 1.5 litres of water running down my back / arse for the reminder of the journey. Cycling shorts currently drying out under my desk - but no chance of them actually being dry for the return journey later on, so I suspect that will be a really miserable trip (which needs to be done in fairly good time to get back & collect the kids)

...just a bit of a moan really...

Still, looking on the bright side, my work laptop was also in the bag - and seems to have escaped any damage - otherwise I would have been in real trouble!

Think of it as a kind of brick session - simulating the feel of swim to bike in a soggy wet tri suit.

I expect the tale cheered the kids up though!

i'm sure the ride home was great in your patented pre-cooled shorts.

there's been several rides this summer where the idea of a cooling water on my back has seemed like heaven and you've just worked out how to do it!
