Bikes £500 - £800

I am going to purchase a bike for winter training between £500 and £800, I have been round a few shops and I'm still undecided, has anyone got any advice on what bikes are value for money.

have a look on wiggle, http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Focus ... 360037597/, the focus bikes on there are great bargains.

As much as I would love to say buy this or you want one of those. Its a diffcult answer as each bike suits different people in different ways and you have like the look as much as the spec and also what are you looking for, good spec or a good frame?

JE james cycles have some bargins at the mo. If you read what the mighty Cone had to say the other day then you will be getting inquick before all the bargins are gone.

Good luck with the bke buying!

Thanks for the advice I have narrowed my choices down but the favourite looks to be a Cannondale Synapse triple, has anyone had any experience with this bike at all.

    Sport,

I went for the Specialised Allez at £539 as a first bike and its worked out well. Looking back I would maybe have spent more but by the time you add pedals, aerobars etc...
