Somebody told me of a website that calculates the distance of your route ,like gmaps ,but also tells you the elevation total of the hills on your route .
Anyone know what this website is ?

not sure of the site, but just a tip for gmaps is the terrain option makes all the little lanes were after much easier to spot!
also it has basic elavation but not to clear

Just looked at mapmyride/run does what I want ....pretty cool

    thanks Tesseract
  • +1 for Mapmyride...

Much easier to use than gmaps pedometer, althogh the adverts can be a little irritating. I used to use one on beginnertriathlete it did everything that map my rides does but didn't automatically follow the roads... hence the switch

BikeHike isn't the most flash looking of sites, but has Google/ordinance survey maps and shows you elevation - handy for avoiding those 'aww sh1t' moments when you go around a corner into another huge climb.

yep, have to agree the ads are pretty annoying, but for a freebie they're pretty slick.

Dunno why mapmyswim never took off...

    +1 for mapmytri/ride/run

i do wish they'd fix the swim options in training though - 'no route selected' just looks silly when you've told it you're doing laps in the pool!
  • bikeroutetoaster is a useful one. info can be downloaded to garmin edge and forerunner.

I use this - no ads - follows roads - i'm not 100% agreeing with the milleage accuracy - never matches my car/bike computer...
