actually i have been trying to search...for about an hour now and just can't find anything in the forum even tho i know it's hiding there...bl**dy search function...tri and bars are too general so you can't search for them...
ok enough whinging...
any recommendations for a cheapish model? I'm thinking clip ons...i've heard that over longer distances your wrists can get sore? i suppose this is to do with type right?

try these the desiegn allows you to change your wrst position,they are reasonably cheap and available from ebay and most bike shops at under 40 quid.

They're Profile Design Aero Wing with T2+ extensions. Great aero position, very adjustible. To fit oversize stem.
