Anyone got a Orbea Aletta TT bike? Think I want one

Anyone got a Orbea Aletta TT bike?
Kind of developed a thing for Orbea's, mainly 'cos you don't see many!

I've just had my bike rebuilt by Mike at Bridgtown onto that frame, so it's not quite the same as the aletta as I like my drop handlebars and clip ons, but I absolutely adore it. Does everything you want it to, and doesn't seem to be as harsh a ride as some other aluminium frames I've ridden. Go for it! I've only ever seen 2 other orbeas at all, one being Conehead's bomber, and another at a race. They are excellent bits of kit.

  • i bought a "ora" frame a few moths ago and am curently building it as and when i can afford it.
its currently sitting in my workshop on the workstand with a set of px 82/102's waiting for brakes and bar end shifters.
it is a thing of beauty.

i do need to get out more

    Cheers Conehead.
The groupset is 105, so I'd agree with you that it's RRP is maybe a tad high. Saving a few grams with a Ultegra groupset doesn't really bother me at this stage. Anyway, my Tiagra setup on hybrid outshines the Veloce on my race bike!
Good news about the frame and forks - the important bits!
The wheels seem to be an American brand that's not made it over here. Bit heavy but look like they'll do the job. 30mm rims can't hurt either.

I'm looking at 3 bikes just now - all very lightly used 100/300km.
Will let you know who wins!
