Time Trials - how to find them

Hiya,

I've got my first OD in September and was thinking some 10m & 25m Time Trials might be pretty good training but...

How do you find them?

Are they friendly, welcoming places? or if you can't average 25mph your ostracised....

Just before i post....I found this.....

What the hell is course F1/25?

  • A few posts on this a while back.

Time trial courses are designated by a code as a historical legacy when organised cycle races were ilegal.

In the code f1/10 the "F" denotes the region (in this case London North), and the "10" denotes the distance. The "1" identifies which 10mile TT in north london you are talking about.

If you want to know the actual route that the course takes some of the courses have descriptions, otherwise details can usually be found on the organising clubs website.

TTs are great for training so definately go along and in my experience everyone has always been friendly.
  • Word on the street some bald gimp is organising his own time trials in 2010 under some random tri club.
Is this bald gimp going to organise any down south or is he confining himself to up north?
