you see them new on ebay even cheaper as well.

They look ok, but I dont know anyone that's had one.

Best thing to do always is get a ride of one and see if you find it comfortable, that's always a good start
  • I was sponsored by kinetic-one last year and really rate their bikes - so much so that I've just signed on for another year. They're bikes are durable - I put in some 20hr weeks on the bike and never have any problems, and perform well at top races - I've represented GB at International elite level in triathlon. All in all a very well rounded collection of bikes.

I agree with Graeme that you should always test a bike before you buy which is what I did before I picked up my race bikes for this season. I had a couple of fitting sessions were we played around with different components and measurments to get the most out of the bike and myself. A really good personal service I thought, which you dont get from most shops.

    Hope this helps,

    Tom

  • I brought one in August this year after doing the London Triathlon. I used it for the first time in the Seaford Triathlon and there was a marked improvement in my times, it is a very quick bike. Andy the guy who runs Kinetic One was extremely helpful and has built me a high quality bike at a very good price. Two thumbs up from me.
  • Hi guys.

Tom Room told me that there was a thread on 220 about Kinetic-One bikes. I was very pleased as I run Kinetic-One. We're based in Stroud in Glos and are a small specialist bikebuilder and bike-seller in the quality tri and time trial bike sector.

Please forgive me an unashamed sales pitch (us micro-brands rarely get a chance to shout and be heard so I'm jumping at the chance!)

Yes our bikes are cheaper than the equivalent offerings from the big brands - we don't have monstrous supply chains or marketing budgets. What we do have is a commitment to using only top brand componentry (no cheap as chips chinese bottom brackets) and to making sure our customers get the right bike. We provide a free professional bike fitting to everyone buying a bike from us and we then build the bike to the exact dimensions that come out of the fitting. This is all for less money than an off the peg bike from the bigger brands. We'll even make you a cup of tea!

See us at www.kinetic-one.co.uk. Our bikes and our team will also be at Castle Coombe Duathlon series next season and we might even make tomorrows chilly duathlon. We will be sponsoring Lee Piercy who won the series last year. He's also just won the 30-34 age group at the European Duathlon Champs in Rimini. Really exciting! Thanks for the soapbox. Andy
  • Kinetic-One will now be the official sponsor of the National Police and Fire Service Time-Trial Champs taking place in wilitshire 30th June 2007. We are very excited about this as its our first venture into race sponsorship. We are a small but determined Tri/TT bike brand based in Gloucesterhsire. Hope this shameless act of self-promotion does not seem out of place on the forum. Please do take a look at our bikes on www.kinetic-one.co.uk. Thanks. Andy. Kinetic-One Bikes.

I bought a Kinetic One bike last year. Im something of a novice cyclist and had never done a triathlon but had been persuaded to do the Monaco Half Ironman. I saw Kinetic One on ebay and gave Andy a call to find out more. I could not rate his service or the bike I bought from him highly enough.

Im not techy so I wont go on about the bikes in those terms but I think more importantly with Kinetic One is the fact that you get a personal service with someone who is extremely knowledgeable, utterly enthusiastic about what he does, and a total perfectionist on top of that!

Provided the bike suits you, then I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Kinetic One over Evans Cycles or any other bike retailer. 5 stars!!!
  • Have a look at BH bikes if you can find them around. They are quite a small spanish make, and ride in the tour de France (with Team liberty seguros sp??!?). Really good value, and a good looking set of bikes!
