Chrissie wins Sportswoman of the Year 2009

I can't beleive I'm the first to post about this!

Chrissie has finally got some mainstream recognition for her outstanding achievements. She was announced as the winner yesterday in the 2009 Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year competition.

I've never met her, but everyone speaks about her with praise, not just her wins, but her overall approachability and attitude.

Is this the start of decent mainstream recognition of the sport?
