Best music for slow long distance runs

I am starting to increase distance for my second marathon in April...but I badly need some music for the long runs (currently treadmill).
Anyone got any favoutites? Albums, lists of mixes.
I tend to like something you can sing along to which hasa good beat.
I often listen to the Killers as the beat is about right for my 85 or so running cadence.

any suggestions?

thank guys!

I have been playing recently with this app.
    http://www.poweradegb.com/motivation-zone/pulse/

sorts through you music collection (itunes)...and then you can make track lists based on intensity/duration etc...
i haven't cracked it fully yet so experimental for me...but may help...

thanks - I heard about that but I don't have an iPod or a mac.....I looked for a non Apple version of that and found nothing that worked.
  • Ooooh! Gonna try that when I get home.
  • There has recently been a CD released called 101 running songs. Whilst not all of them are brilliant the majority are good

    £10.99 for 5 CDs

  • I used to do quite a bit of treadmill running and my album of choice was,

Razorlight - up all night. A bit dated now but similar tempo to the Killers

    Also
The Rifles - No love lost

May be worth a listen, Jam esque.

also found this website which has playlists in different BPM ranges...follow links on left hand side...and then make up your own tracks for whichever device you are going to carry...

I got a load of long mixes call "eclectic mashpod", they are a decent mix of all sorts and pretty laid back (maybe too laid back now I think of it) but theyre downloadable if you google them anyway.

I do all my training to the mixes from this site. They are all free to download and you can pick from different tempo's and styles.

    They work for me.....
