  I've been through the testing, finishing a couple of weeks back. It's an interesting (but tough!) experience; I would definitely encourage you to get in touch with Danny to talk about the process if you're interested.
  I can't comment on the "top 20%" criterion - perhaps this is an attempt to get people who perform relatively consistently, as the testing will take a few weeks. Either way, you could drop him an email - nothing ventured, nothing gained.
