I've been lucky enough to have to oportunity to train in spain at the end of june for a week.

I'm only really looking to ride whilst out there, but have no idea how to approch it.

Its going to be at altitude, near the siera nevada,

Does anyone have any pointers

Head south through France, do a right at the Pyrenees.

Go on. Tell us where you will be based. The Sierra Navada mountains cover quite a large area.

    Good point well made.

I was in Andalucia the other week, not training just chilling, but did see some serious cyclists tackling the enormous hill climbs! Beautiful place, great for cycling, just watch out for the maniac local drivers!

Lol,thought you were going to flame me. .

Just not sure if it's better to hit the hills or push out as many miles as I can on the flat everyday.

    Depends what your goals are..
Personally I'd mix it up...Get the legs spinning on the flat and get used to the temp etc..then do a few hills later in the week.
Take plenty of fluids and bars etc..and don't overdo it!
