Wheel > Disc convertor covers

So I saw these as one on the prizes in the competition, and wondered if anyone has ever tried them?

I'd looked at them before, as they seem to be a very cheap alternative to buying a disc. You can use on existing race wheel, and for a measly £99 turn it into a disc wheel.

I had a look onm the american website, and according to them a lot of triathletes over there use them - but who belieives the sales hype...

Anyone tried them? read up on them? know anything about them?

I have a friend who has recently bought some, says he's very happy with the result. The weight of a decent wheel plus the cover is pretty much the same as a full disc on its own, so it seems like a cheap way of getting similar benefits, at a similar weight.
I'll post again if I learn any more...

Do you still get that cool wooshing noise tho...... cause lets face we all want a disc wheel so that we can make that noise

    hmmm tough one that.

With the impending irrational purchase of a new set of wheels coming very soon I may pertain to the old cliche'

all the gear and no idea!!
