I have entered the IM 70.3 UK this year and it is now time for me to up my training. The problem is I have a full time job, a very young family and am studying part time for an MSc. Needless to say that all of this leaves me very tired. I seem to have enough energy for the training but it leaves me incredibly tired for the rest of the day. I’m sure that my diet is playing a large part in this tiredness. I don’t eat particularly unhealthily I just don’t eat smart. I should also add that I would like to loose some weight as well, I am 5’10” and weigh about 13.5 stone which according to the BMI charts has me as being 1 stone overweight.
Any advice on nutrition / eating smart would be welcome.

Try following this link to a thread on this forum about what people eat. If this link doesn't work it was entitled Diet: What I Ate Today & the last post was 11 Sep 06.

Thanks for your replies, by the fact that plenty of people have looked at the post but only a couple have replied suggests that maybe I'm not alone with this problem. As luck would have it though, I've just been on the Runners World website and they currently have an article entitled Eat smarter: 10 Simple, Healthy Food Swaps.

Should provide a little food for thought.....
