Tatton Park 10k course

Hello,
I know this isn't a specific tri question, but anyway, you are all so knowledgeable I'm sure one of you will have the answer....

I am doing the above race at the end of September and I was hoping to find out what the course is like e.g. hilly, flat , tarmac, pebbles, grass etc. Even better if you know how it looks in comparison to the Great Manchester Run course from back in May.

I am hoping to try and get under 50 minutes. I'm a bit thinner and a bit fitter than I was in May, so I am thinking that an improvement of 7 seconds per km can't be that hard can it ? But if the course is really hilly I'm not going to be able to better my time (51:04, I was amazed !) because the GMR course was really flat !

thank you, as ever,
Susy

Course described as mixed - tarmac, x country - undulating so no PBs

Hopefully the water station has been resolved as several comments were made on that so one of these may be useful

  • Good research ! Thanks v much.

Sounds more hilly than my pb course but less hilly than where I actually train.

So I'm still going to go for 49:59 !

I never bother taking any water with me when I go running, so the water stations are always more of a bonus than a necessity for me anyway, but it has reminded me that I need to look for some sort of water carrying rucksack thing for my crazy mountain marathon notion next year. Wiggle has several possibilities ! Thank you.
  • The course is a real mix of trail, track and grass through the park. It bears no comparison to the man 10k route. It came in a bit short last year so a pb may be a possibility. Lovely run through the fields and deer.
