Well I had it for the best part of two weeks and only got to ride at the weekend... no sorry it took me for a ride.. I just sat there trying to keep my legs spinning!!

I actually had a small issue with the seat post which Trek have now sorted out and then I got a nasty cold which really only went away during last week.

So at the weekend I got booted up and took the SC7 out for a ride. The weather conditions were somewhat windy and I haven't sat on a bike for the best part of 2 months really since IMUK.

The ride was good, a twitchy liitle bugger but I like that, one thing that I didn't like was the pads on the aero bars - far too narrow but not a show stopper as I'm changing the standard bars anyway.

So I went out on my hard effort training route - 14 miles but total painfest as the wind is in the face all the way round. I generally found the bike extremely easy to get up to speed and once i got it up to speed it was easy keeping it there. The bike was amazing, complete awesomeness to be fair. Once I get the disc on it then it will be rapid. The SRAM Apex changes nice and sweet. Apex is loads better than 105 as I have 105 on the Argon.

I'm really glad I got and the wait to ride it was worth it.....
  • It clearly sounds like it's too fast for you, you know you'll only hurt yourself, you should give it away to someone else so you're safe, I'll take it for you, just thinking of you mate, wouldn't want you to hurt yourself and that...

Now that is what I like about this sport, pure sportsmen like Tesseract acting totally selflessly to help a fellow triathlete
