BTA Membership

With this being my first season as a triathlete, i havent entered that many races. Is anybody a member of the BTA? It only £38 a year which is probably a bit more than what i will end up paying for day memberships this year. Is it worth joining? They give your magazines etc as part of the membership.

They also give you accident insurance if you get injured competing or training, so if you haven't got it you will get cover. Magazines come every 2 months you also recieve a yearbook full of info on events and clubs..

You may struggle to get all your money back from reduced entries in your first season but I think the extras, especially the insurance, make it worth while.

    Tom

  • Definitely worth it for the insurance alone - They have a crack hot set of lawyers who are currently sorting out my claim after I got knocked off.

Its about half the price of a race licence with British Cycling so count yourself lucky!
