Duathlon - Where to start

I am new to the scene but am very interested in doing some duathlon events but do not know where to start. Any help?

Most duathlons seem to happen in the winter months when it's too cold to swim. Good luck

These are a series of events at Dorney Lake in Berkshire, so if you live near by give them a try. They have a novice race with a smaller distance.
A good way to start duathlons!

The Castle Combe Duathlons are a good starter, small field, takes place on a closed circuit and friendly.
