Bikes between £1000-£1300

Right I'm looking for a bike for roughly a grand, so far I've looked at the Giant (TCR range) boardman and pinarello. I want to be able to stick some clip on tri bars on as I don't fancy a TT bike. I'm thinking the Boardman, but Halfords put me off.

Has anyone got any imput, or anything else that I should look at.

    Boardman worth a look at even tho Halfords, newer models good value and now inc BB30 I believe, I immediately took my Team Carbon to my LBS for a check - stem bolts too loose and gears not indexing properly BUT if you accept this may happen (but obviously it shouldn't) then certainly my LBS were surprised at the kit level for the price. Have you tried Planet X? Ribble cycles appear to offer good value - fantastically mixed reviews if you scout round the internet tho. Probably can't lose with Giant.
