Hi - anyone out there taking part in August? This is my first 70.3, a step-up from Olymmpic distance last year and sprint the year before! Any tips would be much appreciated! Lee
Did it last year. Weather was terrible.......so terrible that my brake pads almost wore down completely in the lashing rain. Assuming you have better weather this year, you will have a blast. It's pretty hilly, 1400Hm of climbing (as far as I can remember) but it's not the nightmare many told me it would be. The first 40k or so have some prety scary descents with hainpin turns! The run is 4 loops around a park in the city, most of it is nice, but it's also not flat. This is what got me, my legs were knackered from the but slight incline on the way out of the city. enjoy!
