Legal Tri/Aero bars

Hi there,

I'm a little confused about what is seen as "race legal" for Tri/Aero bars.

This is my first season at triathlon and I haven't been able to find any information about aero bars. The races I'm participating in are:

* Dartford Bridge Triathlon - super sprint
* Maldon Triathlon (Essex) - sprint
* London Triathlon - Olympic
* Dextro Energy Triathlon London (Hyde Park) - Olympic

I was think of getting a pair of these:

To fit on my Boardman Team Carbon (2010) road bike. What do you think?

Thanks,

John

    I might be wrong but im pretty sure that unless you are racing at an elite level you can pretty much use and ride what you like.

    thats right Gasgas

    unless your an elite ( drafting races) then you can use whatever you like. Just make sure they are naked carbon.

    Drafting races do not allow you to have aero bars which protrude I believe further than a specific point which I belive (stand to be corrected) the brake hoods (?). You can purchase aero bars which conform but clearly they are a lot shorter.

    On the whole most races do not allow drafting therefore you are able to run whatever setup you want.
