Good Sports Books to Read.

I've gone through a real phase of reading books by endurance athletes over the past two months and am eager for more suggestions.

The ones I've read recently are;

Run! Dean Karnazes
Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner Dean Karnazes
(both a little self-indulgent)

Iron War by Matt Fitzgerald (really enjoyed)
A Life Without Limits, Chrissie Wellington (Good)
Mud, Sweat and Tears, Moire O'Sullivan
Can't Swim, Can't Ride, Can't Run, Andy Holgate (Enjoyable)
Born to Run, Chris Mc Dougall
Survival of the Fittest, Mike Stroud
Feet in the Clouds, Richard Askwith.
Has anyone any other books they'd highly recommend. I see that someone has posted that Racing Through the Dark by David Millar is very good. Any more suggestions?

Running High by Hugh Symonds, if you enjoy long distance running.
The Ghost Runner by Bill Jones,
Raising the Dead by Phillip Finch, it regards pushing the limits in diving, fascinating read.

Thanks jon, I'll check them out.
I'd read about the Ghost Runner in a runners world magazine and was intrigued. Can't remember why I haven't bought the book yet?!

It's not about the Bike - LA
Feeding the Rat - Al Alvarez (this one's about climbing, but it's a great book)
Born to Run - Chris McDougall
I'm Here to Win - Macca

Hi there! Am a bookworm, but not really a sports book person to be honest, but I gave these a go and recommend...

What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami
(Liked this very much - it was different, engaging & thoughtful)

Waterlog: A Swimmer's Journey Through Britain by Roger Deakin
(LOVE this book soooo much! Inspiring & beautifully written, makes you want to get your wetsuit on!)

    Happy reading

Slightly digressing from the sports book theme, stay with me,

The Way of the Peaceful Warrior, by Dan Millman

written by an ex gymnast, looks at the psychology and philosophy, and may help those who get slightly nervous look at the race differently, worth a look, the film is crap though:-(
