Human Race - St Lucia Triathlon

Hi all

Looking to do a triathlon outside of the UK in warm climate. St Lucia looked ideal and about the time I wanted to get away.

I have just been informed that you can only enter this event by booking through their official travel partner - even though I can get the flights and hotel £500 cheaper myself!

Is this common with overseas events?

    The Dagger: 200m Swim, 5km Bike, 2.5km Run
    The Pistol: 750m Swim, 10km Bike, 5km Run
    The Cutlass: 1500m Swim, 20km Bike, 10km Run
    Not sure they have the OD distances right - 20km bike!!
