Cycle Chaffing/folliculitis

Hi,
This is so embarrasing. It's affecting my cycling so much that I have to ask for help. I have really bad chaffing and folliculitis in the groin area. I've been using tea tree oil, TCP, vaseline and a tea tree oil moisturiser but this is not helping. My whole body is now tensing up on the bike because of the pain. I'm going to look at my saddle again (although changed this last year and was previously fine), cycle shorts are changed and same as before which were fine, but I really need some form of treatment for it that works. PLEASE do not suggest staying off the bike as I have a 70.3 in 2 weeks! PLEASE HELP, any suggestions?!

Folliculitis is an infection of the hair follicles so it is most unlikely that what you've been trying will work. Go and see your local pharmacist who should be able to sell you some antiseptic cream or whatever. If you've time your doctor can give a proper diagnosis and possibly some more powerful drugs.
Treat the cause not the symptoms, get better & have a great race

You'd be a tool not to spend just over a tenner on some - it's incredible
