first race of 2015!

risris Posts: 1,002

early races are starting to happen now... and my first one is coming up on sunday - white horse sprint tri in calne. i did it a few years ago (can't remember my time, 1:07?) so a chance to attempt an improvement.

if i'm honest, i'm a touch apprehensive - i missed racing in 2014 with injury so it's been a while since i raced. the weather also looks rubbish and the thought of turning out a poor time in grim weather does not appeal!

anyone else already started their season? if so, how did it go?

    i finished in 1:01!

swam ok given my training has been a bit rubbish the last month or so, had a really good time on the bike (despite the weather turning in toward the end) and a sub-20min run off the bike for the first time in ages. hard work, but very glad to be back racing again!

    Well Done

looks a very good time for a sprint.

I think Its always a good positive to carry forward when you can look back and know that you had a good split like you said you did on your bike.

Sub 20 minute 5k is often a benchmark for stand alone 5k runners (parkrun) so to run sub 20 off the bike is a very good achievement.

    Great stuff.
