Wetsuit Wonders

Afternoon all,

I have just started training for triathlons, hoping to have my first one in August, I have been training in a local lake but the people with me have what I can describe as 'advanced' wetsuits whereas mine is very basic (got it in wales 4 years ago in a seaside shop for 60 pounds). Is there a major difference between my basic wetsuit and their 'advanced' wetsuits?

    Cost I would imagine....

    ;-)

I just tried on my wetsuit that I got last year (and didn't use for the London Tri due to injury) so I'm going to Heron lake in the morning to Tri and then buy a wetsuit..

    (well that's the plan)

The other question is what did you get the wetsuit for? I have a wetsuit at home that I brought for diving. It's great for that but I wouldn't want to try and swim a triathlon in it. A wetsuit designed for swimming in rather than diving or surfing is going to have buoyancy and flexibility in the correct places.

What type of wetsuit do you have?
