Hi all,
Has anybody heard of canyon cycles.
A collegue of mine who works in Germany has recommended them, claiming that they are high spec but low price. www.canyon.com
A quick glance on the net shows them as imported directly from Germany, but i'm concerned about any repairs/after service facility in the UK.
Any views/experiance on them would be helpfull, as this is my first major bike purchase and I want to get it right.
thanks

If you are very confident in purchasing the right size and understanding all the specifications, you could probably find some good bikes on eBay that will have a decent, similar spec for less money. An aluminum frame with good components, some tri-specific stuff (frame, seatpost angle, handlebars, etc) isn't always that difficult to find:

and (if you just want to drool):

all look like decent bikes, depending on your frame size.
And, of course, you can always try Planet X Bikes (http://www.planet-x-bikes.com/triathlon/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=297). They are a well-established, well-respected British company (with their own racing teams) and they do some of the best-value carbon fiber stuff around. You'd probably have to bring a bike back with you on a flight from the US to find a better bargain than these guys, at those specs.
