Leicester Olympic Triathlon - 3rd July 2011
The Leicester Triathlon is a brand new event for 2011. This Olympic distance triathlon is set within Watermead Country Park and will provide a test for both experienced and novice triathletes.
The 1500m open water swim takes place in King Lear’s Lake, the 40km cycle course is on a fast mainly flat one lap route of the A46 and the 10km run takes place along the trails and footpaths within the Country Park.
Leicester Triathlon Club are using the event to encourage their novice members to enter their first Olympic distance race.
