how to prevent weight loss

Hey everyone,

I'm new to triathlon and have recent began training daily. I have changed my diet to accommodate for the increasing calorie expenditure (full fat milk, high carb meals such as pasta/potatoes etc, along with plenty of fruit and veg). However I do appear to be losing an alarming amount of weight rather quickly, I have also noticed that my muscles appear to have shrunk in size and appear less toned - has anyone else experienced this/have any advice on how to prevent it?
