Training when travelling



Over Easter I'm away trekking in nepal for 3 weeks. I've got BUCS tri 2 weeks after I return. I've got in good shape and don't want to loose too many gains when away. I won't be able to run/swim/cycle due to being with a group trekking to base camp.


Any advice on maintaining tri fitness when travelling would be great.

    Don't worry. The trekking should keep you fit. Enjoy the trip

    Carry some of the other members belongings so that you have a decent weight on your back. If you are trekking up to base camp this should provide good strength and base endurance training for you.

    You could potentially add in a bit of plyometrics to keep some explosivity if there, but it shouldn't need much of this to get your heart rate up and make sure your body doesn't forget what going hard feels like.
