Cuban Marathon
in General Chat
Hello,
Being a recent convert to triathlon I know how addictive new challenges can be so I thought I’d share this…
The ‘Cuba Solidarity Campaign’ are organising a pretty special event this November, a marathon in Havana.
It’s been set up to help raise funds for visually impaired children in Havana with the trip including a visit to a school to see how your hard earned sponsorship is going to help.
It’s a fantastic cause and a once in a lifetime challenge, and lets be honest…if you’re going to run 26 miles there are worse ways to finish than with a cocktail in the Caribbean!
For more information click the link below or PM me,
Cheers!

That's £84 a mile
Good grief
Does that include my travel, flights, transfers, insurance etc
The charity have managed to get good deals through their contacts so travel, flights, transfers, insurance etc are all included in the package.
From the £2000 sponsorship raised a higher percentage of that money actually goes direct to the charity compared to the London Marathon so the money raised goes a long way!
Any more questions give me a shout,
Cheers, tom
(Otherwise, you might just as well pay your own entry, raise £2000 and give it all to charity, no?)
