Turbo Trainer boredom
OK, winters here - dark nights means evening rides in my area aren't really safe so it's on to my turbo trainer. In order to maximise the benefits and minimize the boredom, I'm looking to get one of the workout programs (turbotrainer.co.uk, Motivo, etc). Does anyone have any recommendations, experiences they'd care to share - most of them seem to need a subscription so I want to make sure I get the right one.
Many thanks

I personally love Zwift - workout mode is good but you can equally go for a ride and go as hard or easy and you wish with enough little carrots to keep you interested even when going for a "spin"
Second recommendation for Zwift!
I have used Zwift for a while now and find the training programs are good and also really enjoy the social rides and have dabbled in a few races. So lots of various things you can do in Zwift but works best with a Smart Turbo.
PS Top tip is a remote control fan to keep cool with
