Mental Skills in Triathlon
Wondering what everyone does regarding mental skills training and at what levels you are training at in triathlon. I am a mental skills trainer myself and just completed my first Ironman after deciding to enter into the sport about 18 months ago and found a lot of techniques and mental skills that are appropriate at different levels. For example, emotional control and controlling race day energy was is, in my opinion, one of the most important first skills a triathlete must learn especially if the athlete is new to open water swimming.
All in all, what does everyone think is most important to learn in the mental skills throughout the growth process in triathlon?
