Has anyone heard of the open water swimming safety device called the Tekrapod?

Hi everyone, I've been on the lookout for an OWS safety device for the past couple of months for the new season. My tow buoy was a bit of a pain last season. Even though it's handy for storing my phone and bottle in it, it's honestly too big and bulky for what I need it for.
When I began researching other devices I came across the 'Tekrapod' on DC Rainmakers site, just wondering if anyone has used it yet and was are your thoughts?
