triple to double chainset

I've decided I want to swap from an Ultegra triple to a double (6600 Hollowtech II) as I never use the granny ring. I have a 10 speed rear cassette.



Can I just remove the granny ring and do something to the bottom bracket???



I'd like to change the rear long cage to a short cage - not sure if I have to?





Any advice appreciated?
