shoes on the bike

hey guys.

i know that this has come up before on an old thread but i couldn't find it when i flicked through.

how should i attach my shoes on the bike in order to keep them level coming out of T1?

i've got the hang of dismounting (i hope) and am ok slipping my feet in whilst rolling, but so far my main problem has been that my shoes spin round the pedal and end up jammed between the bike and floor spooning me over the front end.

i know i need to use elastic bands to hold them but where? is it rear skewer lever and front mech? help? (diagram appreciated)

i'm sure somebody out there must know

I love the way your cat is watching, and then just turns away in disgust!
