Hey Junia
I know how you feel. I had a panic attack a couple of years ago whilst scuba diving at 20m depth. Very nearly drowned (saved by an amazing instructor). Since then I am conscious of when the attacks are coming on - I felt one coming when I tried my first tri at Eton earlier this year. I just concentrated on my breathing - keeping it nice and slow - and telling myself it is very difficult to drown in a wetsuit due to the buoyancy. I think its one of those things whereby the more you do it, the more comfortable you become.
