Bike Fitting

My Wife and I are sharing a bike we are about 1 inch in difference in height. she has slightly longer legs about 1 inch and i have a longer upper body just. when it comes to fitting with the bike will it make that much different's except for the seat height which i will have to lower but with the reach is there so much of a difference or can we get away with leaving it set to either the wife or myself
