Cavendish v Hoy

Why do the press go all gooey for Chris Hoy when what he's achioeved in Cycling (Although Brilliant) is not a patch on what Cavendish and before him Boardman have achieved.

As Cavendish himself said the UK is all about cycling in the Olympics but real success in cycling is all about the road?

Cmon Hoy join the real cyclists on the road.

Certainly not knocking Hoy but i think what he's achieved is not in the same league as Cavendish and Boardman yet look at most of the tabloids 2/3 lines if your lucky on Cavendish today.

Maybe this says better what i'm getting at...

"For me, the Olympics is not even in the top 10 of what you can achieve," he told the BBC's Inside Sport programme.

"But you ask the average member of the public in Britain and they'll look at you like you're mad."
